Hi everyone! My name is Will Chotiner, the founder and creator of MoKanex. 

MoKanex was created from a vision I had to revolutionize the mechanical industry. A vision where people have access to high level mechanical technicians all from the convenience of their living room. A vision where the days of overpriced big box “garages” can no longer take advantage of people’s lack of knowledge on automobile repair. 

As life after Covid will forever be altered due to this horrible virus, business must also evolve. Mobile services are the new normal. Most industries have tried their hand at going mobile. Dog groomers, food & alcohol delivery, auto detailing, etc. Why not mechanics?

My family was the biggest influence on my career path. My father and grandfather were both involved in the auto industry. My grandfather was a professional detailer turned automobile collector/investor. During the apex of his career, he bought and sold dozens of exotic cars and luxury vehicles. As he got older and wanted to downsize he transitioned into retail and wholesale sales for different dealerships.

My father traveled a similar path and also went from professional auto detailing to sales. He was very well known in his time and made a great living.

Their love for cars spilled over onto me. Ever since I was a boy, it’s always been my passion. Toy cars, model cars, car video games, even boyhood dreams of driving race cars. However, I realized at a young age that my real passion was engines. I began tearing them down and rebuilding them in our garage. I could rebuild an entire engine before I was even 16 years old. 

As I got older the obsession grew and self-teaching was no longer enough. I decided to go to college and get my mechanics degree and become fully licensed. I began building my own cars and “wrenching” all of my friends’. I was essentially running a de facto business out of my families’ garage.

And thus, the MoKanex journey began.

I figured out a way to follow my passion, provide immense value to customers, and address a few of the major problems in the mechanical industry.
